The 8 oz., 240gsm organic cotton is GOTS certified and garment dyed to create subtle variations in tone and a lived-in character. The fabric is pre-shrunk and finished with a specialty wash that softens the surface into a lightly sueded texture. The fit is relaxed and clean, and the neckline is reinforced with double needle stitching to retain shape through wear. A small amount of natural shrinkage will still occur. Final garment weight is 11 oz with a tolerance of up to 1 inch in sizing. Woven labels are placed at the hem and sleeve. No toxic dyes, synthetic chemicals, or formaldehyde are used in the making of this product.
